ABOUT MEX ONE RECORDINGS

Mex One is the personal project recording facility of music producer, Paul Mex.

The set-up was created in 1989 as a no-nonsense straightforward affordable high quality programming & recording service, combining Mex’s blend of production, composing & multi-media skills all under roof.

Ventures including remixing, post-production, jingles & soundtracks have also all been undertaken at Mex One, along with numerous commercial music releases from both established & new artists.

As a producer, Mex has been involved in recordings that accumulate to nearly a million sales, had chart success & although specialising in productions for new acts, has also worked with a host of diverse artists ranging from 'pop stars' Wham!, right through to respected 'jazz-rock' musician, Robert Wyatt.

Prior to setting up Mex One, he operated as a in-house producer for an independent label & also produced recordings for other companies such as Atlantic, Big Life & PolyGram amongst many others.

He is a veteran when it comes to knowing music industry protocol, with a background that creates a combination of cultural, artistic & technical experience for working on a variety of projects, whether it be an extra song needed for an album, an artist
